Business: Retail Kiosk.
Location:
Keep-Left Bus Park, Molo.
Years in Operation:
5 Years.
Amount needed:
$150.

Mary’s makeshift kiosk sits undisturbed at the mouth of a very busy highway and main Keep-left Bus Park. It is a delightful wonder how all the rowdiness of the place does not knock it over. Clearly all the busy passers by who appear to be in a never slowing hurry know its place for they have been its loyal customers five years and counting. The strategic location of the kiosk is not lacking in customers in the very least. Many people seeking to board or alighting from public service vehicles, those awaiting the said vehicles to fill up and those who ply the busy route make up the very high human traffic that marks the area availing many customers to her business.

Among the fastest moving goods of her stock are sweets, soft drinks and snacks. She buys the goods from wholesalers in bulk which in turn provides the necessary stock to satisfy the ever growing demand. Besides selling at the kiosk, Mary also buys sweets on wholesale and supplies them to other retail shops all over Molo town. She has earned herself many loyal customers due to her efficiency, promptness and honesty she says as they love the fact that she keeps her word and delivers in very good time. The first happy shops customers are the ones who passed on the word to other potential clients and this she says has been her best marketing tool; customer referrals.

Today her younger sister is stepping in for her as she is out making deliveries within Molo while her husband is doing the same in towns in the outskirts of Molo. Mary is seeking $150 from Moto Hope Micro Lending to enable her to afford additional stock. With the funds, she will be able to meet the demand from other shopkeepers as well as customers at the kiosk. She is most impressed by the low interest rates attached to the Moto Hope Micro Lending business loan as expensive credit wouldn’t just work for her business. This business enables her to provide for her family’s needs and also brings her so much fulfillment she says happily.
