Business: Motor Cycle Spare Parts.
Location:
Molo Town.
Years in Operation:
13 Years.
Amount needed:
$300.

Martha is a God fearing and very focused business lady in Molo town. She is well known for stocking and supplying durable and choice quality of motor cycle spare parts. Her loyal customers keep going back thanks to her excellent customer care skills as well as value for their money. For the last twelve years, Martha’s shop was in a hidden corner of a building in one of Molo’s street and she depended fully on her customers to refer more new clients.

At the beginning of this year (2020), Martha shifted to a bigger and  more strategically located building. Her shop now sits right next to the busy major street and it is bigger and better with enough space for expansion. Despite the Corona virus pandemic that has affected people and businesses worldwide, Martha continues to trust in God’s providence as she seeks to meet her clients’ needs. She has now attracted more clients as some of her competitors have closed shop.

Despite the current lower returns from the business, Martha has created employment for two young ladies who had lost jobs when the shops they worked in shut down. She gains a lot of fulfillment knowing that thanks to her business, the families of the two women can fend for themselves thanks to the incomes they earn. They are very hardworking and she is all too happy and grateful to have them in the business. Besides the spare parts, Martha now also stocks refreshments, masks and sanitizer due to the risen demand for these goods.

Martha is seeking $300 from Moto Hope Micro Lending to be able to purchase more stock of motor cycle spare parts. Motor cycle taxi riders popularly known as bodabodas are now the choice mode of transport for many people in and outside Molo town as everyone tries to maintain social distance while avoiding crowded public transport to keep safe from covid-19. Thus it goes without saying that the riders need their motor cycles to be in great condition assuring Martha of continued business.
