She opened the retail shop two years ago and is glad the shop is going steady supplementing her earnings as well as keeping her busy.

She is passionate about farming for it has served her economic and food needs since she can remember; way before her children were born. Selling produce from her farm is what has enabled her raise her family over the years. She grows, maize, green peas and Irish potatoes which besides trading off upon harvest also serves to add to her own family’s food basket.

Her hardworking and determined nature over the years allowed her to save up money which eventually enabled her to put up 9 single roomed rental units just next to her own home  five of which are currently occupied and earn her $20 each every month. She hopes in time all the units will find occupants for her to get value for the money she invested.

She has stocked her shop with a wide variety of fast moving goods as well as plastic housewares. She also sells milk that she buys from farmers who live within her shop’s neighborhood. She is seeking $200 to be able to add more stock of fast moving goods in her shop.
