Jane Wamaitha is a pleasant and very calm woman who is very determined and hardworking despite her advanced age. The mother of four children lives with one grandchild for all her children are all grown and out of the home. She pays for the school fees of her grandchild who is in high school as well as provide for her needs from proceeds of her varied business ventures.
She is a landlady ; the owner of 12 rental units each of which brings in $20, monthly. Her tenants are comfortable and happy living in her houses for she is very kind and understanding. She is a shopkeeper who runs a retail kiosk at the front of her house which is adjacent to the rental units. This shop has been running for the last four years and she is able to meet some of her household expenditures with proceeds from it. The kiosk is housed by one of her rental units saving her on rent expenditure. She also practices small scale farming growing maize, green peas and potatoes which are both for sale and her own domestic consumption.
She is seeking $250 from Moto Hope Micro Lending to be able to restock her kiosk. The kiosk is currently running on very little stock which translates to very low sales as a result. She would like to invest in stocking fast moving goods which her customers demand more. In this way she will be able to put her kiosk back on its feet for it to meet its own costs of doing business as well as earn her more profits.
