Peris is a mother of four children and both Gladys and Teresia are a mother of three children each. They rear broiler chicken and upon maturity, sell to their clients. They work together, admitting that the market is available and insatiable. They intend to use the money disbursed to them to re-stock with more broiler chicks, and are hopeful of raising more chicks with time in order to meet the ever rising demand of chicken meat.
Since the three are not in any formal registration as a group, moto hope disbursed to them independent loans. Broilers are quite involving in terms of labour and pressure and are sensitive, but has been quite a good source of regular income for them. Unlike other poultry farming, it is unique in that it recovers the expenses much faster because the chicks mature fast and are ready to sell with in 4-6weeks.
During situations when they don’t have their own broiler chicks for sale, they look from other farmers within their locality and make an income through earning commission. The loan is thus meant to enable them to have their own broiler chicks.
