Ezekiel Githinji’s three years in Agribusiness have given him the fulfillment he has much sought and he is out to make it thrive at all costs. The hardworking husband and loving father of two children is eager to see the proceeds of his agribusiness venture cater for the school fees of his children one of whom is still a toddler. He wants to save up for their future and this he believes will be properly facilitated by the successful growth and expansion of his agricultural practices.
Ezekiel grows tea on his two an a half acres farm-land from which he sells about 900kgs of tea a month. In addition, he is a small holder dairy farmer and sells at least thirteen litres of milk every day from his three dairy cattle. Ezekiel has created employment for one person who helps him within the farm.
He is seeking $300 from MHML to be able to improve his dairy farming practices so as to increase his cows’ milk yield. He would like to put in place all the measures that will ensure optimal milk production. The current 13litres a day is on the low side of things and he is out to rectify this he says. He intends to buy more and better quality mixed rations, dairy meal supplements and put up a proper cow shed.
The money he says will enable him to seal all the loop holes in the care of his dairy cows and boost their milk production.
