Esther Waitherero is a mother of two children who earns a living from her small scale business of fruits and vegetables. She has been in business for the last four years and works hard to ensure its successful operation. She took a break towards the end of last year to continue again at the beginning of this year and is currently facing stock shortage. She also aims to win back all of her clients who had sought other alternatives during her break and maintain them.
She seeks $50 from MHML to restock her stall with more varieties besides the mangoes, bananas, tomatoes and onions that she currently trades in. The trick to attracting more customers she says is to have good quality products in large quantities and wide varieties that are colorful and healthy enough to win people to the stall. She is optimistic that her business will pick as there is no other such stall available as close as hers to her target customers.
Her first born child is in grade three and she would like her business to help her to take her to a better school as well as cater for her toddler besides paying her house rent and all of her basic needs. She believes that with this dire boost from MHML, she will achieve that and more. She is focused and very passionate about making her children comfortable.
