Elijah Mweri Mwihaki is a young upcoming entrepreneur in Molo town with a vision for growth and transformation in Molo town. As I interact with him I immediately know the secret to his success “determination”. He runs a modern cyber café. He majorly deals in online services e.g. pays lips, kra pin, download movies and music and also sells computer accessories.

“MWERI” is a kikuyu name meaning “moon”, is it coincidental or destiny because the moon shines in darkness, I ask and he tell me he desires to bring more light into the sleeping (in terms of IT) town of Molo. That’s great I tell him and we both laugh. He is a father of one and is married to one wife. He is also looking after his parents and grandmother who is old, Mweri comes from a very humble background and really appreciates the great strides he has made in life.

He started his business in the year 2011 with a borrowed computer and $50 personal savings, as time passed he was able to get a loan and increase his business stock. He has been able to increase his business value to over $1,000 both asset and stock. Determination has seen him overcome all the storms of life and sail through in business. He has a good customer base and many know his business. He has been able to secure tenders from many schools around Molo as he does consultations, Supplies computer accessories and even does computer repairs.

His vision in the next three years is to be the leading IT Hub in Molo town. He intends to open another sales shop dealing majorly with the sale of computer accessories in Molo town. I ask him why and he tells me he is equal to the task, he desires to put up a foundation for needy children from poor background that will give them a chance to advance in computer skills. With enough cash he will be able to start importing these accessories himself from abroad.
