It is such delights watching Daniel go about his business at the very busy food kiosk as lunch hour kicks in. The food kiosk is filled to the brim and where it would be easy to expect utter chaos, the amazingly wide range of customers are placing their orders with such calm the organization in the place is on another level. Daniel is busy at the counter where through a window that connects to the kitchen he announces the orders to his staff. The waiters are quick on their feet making sure no customer waits longer than they have to.

At a time when he had cash flow problems in the business and was barely meeting the demand or earning enough to adequately remunerate his employees, Moto Hope Micro Lending came through for him. With the $200 from Moto Hope Micro Lending he was able to get back on his feet. He purchased more stock of dry foods and cereals which enabled his food kiosk to continue meeting its demand.

Daniel is a very happy man. He has no regrets going into business when he did. At the moment, he has created employment for six people. The fact that through his business six families are able to meet their needs is his daily motivation. Besides this, the business has enabled him to open a retail shop for his wife in Molo’s Posta area. Earnings from their businesses allow them to provide for their children’s basic needs and also keep them in school. Besides the business, Daniel is also a small holder farmer growing vegetables and potatoes for his family’s consumption.

Daniel is very dedicated to his food kiosk. He is focused on scaling and the gradual growth so far is the source of his optimism. His is the only one in the area that opens up early enough to serve breakfast at the morning rush hour as people get into town for work and engage in different businesses. He serves all the meals of the day and closes late in the night. This way he is able to maximize sales. In addition, he also sells packed lunches which his staff delivers to business people at their shops and businesses. His delicious meals are relatively cheap and he sells a wide variety which keeps the customers returning.
