Business: Retail Kiosk
Location:
Casino, Molo.
Years in Operation:
24 Years.
Amount needed:
$150.

Age has nothing on Beth. The dotting grandmother and mother of two grown children still has her hands busy in business to meet her daily needs as opposed to depending on her children. The business is as old as her children as she raised and educated both of them with proceeds from the kiosk. At the beginning her shop was set deep in the villages of Eldama Ravine where she and her children lived. As it progressed she was able to save up and buy an eighth of an acre land in Molo’s Casino area where upon building her new home she moved to start a new life in 2006.

She managed to rent a bigger shop space a walking distance from her home where she expanded her business stocking more fast moving goods than before. Within no time this pleasant lady was able to win the hearts and loyalties of her neighbors and people who ply the Molo-Casino road where her shop is located. She has never looked back. There are good times and bad times in the business she said, but even in bad times she does not lose hope. She is encouraged by how far she has come.

She is seeking $150 from Moto Hope Micro Lending to purchase additional stock for her shop. With the money she will be able to give her kiosk the boost it requires by purchasing at relatively cheaper prices from Molo’s Mali Rahisi wholesale. Staying in business is important for her for the kiosk is her soul source of income to cater for all of her basic needs. The low interest rates that Moto Hope Micro Lending offers she says will enable her to pay back without strain yet leave an impact on her kiosk.
